Yes, you can hand a video over to another person on fair.tube.
How to transfer a video
- In the left menu under "My video space", click "Videos" → "Manage".
- Select the ownership change for the video in question.
- Enter the username of the target person and submit the request.
Who can receive a video
Only people with an account on the same instance – that is, on fair.tube. Transferring to an account on a different PeerTube platform is not possible.
The target person has to accept
The transfer only takes effect once the target person accepts it. Please note: they receive no notification and no email. The request only appears under "My video space" → "Videos" → "More" → "Ownership changes". It is best to let them know directly. After accepting, they assign the video to one of their own channels.
Do you want to work on a channel together?
Then ownership transfer is the wrong tool – it hands individual videos over permanently. For collaboration on a channel, channel owners can invite other fair.tube users to become editors. Editors may publish videos in the channel, manage videos, comments and playlists, and change the channel information; they cannot delete the channel or add further editors.
